4. HOW TO PLAY
Press the START button to turn on the unit. You will then be in DEMO
MODE.
Press the MODE button to select your skill level (1 or2). The game play
is the same in both levels but level 2 is faster and so requires greater skill!
1. THE SKIES ARE YOURS
Press the START button to begin the game. Welcome to the Jurassic Period!
Use your LEFT and RIGHT buttons to control the direction of your flight.
The skies belong to you. You are a pteranodon. You swoop down from the
clouds and capture dinosaur eggs and compys! But watch where you fly
-- the earth is full of raptors who would love to destroy you!
2. OBJECT OF THE GAME
Score as many points as you can by hunting dinosaur eggs and
compsognathus (compys). You need to fly into just the right spots and then
swoop down to attack! If you are too slow, your prey will get away.
Plan your descents from the sky carefully --because if you land next to a
raptor, it will destroy you!
Swoop down by pressing your LEFT and RIGHT buttons together to capture
each egg and compy that appears onscreen! . You earn points each time
you successfully capture one!
3. CONTROL YOUR FATE
You control your own fate!
Watch out for raptors! Don't swoop down next to a raptor--or you could
be its lunch!
After you swoop down, get out of there quick-- before a raptor shows up!
RESET
However -- to those who take risks often go the greatest rewards! You
will score MORE POINTS if you capture an egg or a compy that is near a
raptor!
When a compy gets past you, or you get attacked by a raptor, you will lose
a life. If you lose all 5 lives it's a GAME OVER.
You will not lose a life for raptors that go off screen --only compys.
Here's more good news -- you are rewarded with an energy each time
you capture an egg!
